About each permit
County Clerk Wet/Dry Certification for a TABC Permit Application
Under Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code section 11.37, the county clerk must, within 30 days of a request, certify whether the location given by a prospective applicant for a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission permit is in a wet area and whether the sale is barred by any order of the commissioners court. The County Clerk's Alcoholic Beverage License page directs applicants to TABC for forms, and states that a business inside the city limits must first complete the city authorization section and obtain certification from the Victoria City Secretary's Office before bringing the paperwork to the County Clerk. This is a step in the state application, not a separate county license.
