About each permit

Temporary Use Permit (Sale of Goods Outside a Building)

The $50 figure is as listed in the Growth Services List of Fees and Services (revised July 2, 2019), which is Exhibit A of Resolution No. 19-R-201 and which the Planning & Zoning Forms & Fees page links as the department's application fee schedule. LDC Sec. 4.3.16 provides that the Growth Services Director issues a temporary use permit upon receipt of a complete application and payment of a fee set by the Board of County Commissioners. Under that section an off-premises temporary use permit is limited to one per applicant and site in any 90 days, for no more than 7 days, and the county's Temporary Use Permit Application (Rev. 1/2026) carries the same 90-day and 7-day note; the application form itself states no amount. A violation of Sec. 4.3.16 is punishable by a fine of up to $500 or up to 60 days in jail. This applies to a retailer selling goods outside a building.
