About each permit

Certificate of Occupancy

Confirmed directly from the Building Division's own permit fee table — a nominal $3 charge, issued after the final building inspection is approved. The Building Division's Permit Applications page lists it in its Additional Fees table as 'Certificate of Occupancy — $3 — Following an approved final inspection'.

Commercial Building Permit

No separate fee line item for fire suppression or fire detection system installation was found — that work appears to be billed under this same tiered construction-cost schedule rather than priced separately the way Lexington-Fayette's Division of Building Inspection does it.

Permanent Sign Permit

Signage must also comply with the joint Warren County/Bowling Green Zoning Ordinance's sign standards, administered by the Building Division rather than the Planning Commission. The Building Division's Permit Applications page states that signs must conform to the Sign Standards in Article 4 of the Zoning Ordinance and that permanent signs placed on a building require 5 copies of plot plans with an approved engineering stamp for review.
