Business licenses and permits in Williamson County, Texas
The Williamson County and Cities Health District is the retail food authority for Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto and Taylor — the cities do not permit food themselves, which is why none of them publishes a food fee schedule. The district bands the permit on gross annual food sales at $258, $515 and $773, the same three figures McKinney uses. Two things here are worth planning around and are unusual: plan review is charged separately at $882, or $1,000 expedited, which is more than the permit itself and is payable before you build; and a late renewal adds a flat $100 whatever band you are in. Building, fire and zoning permits remain with each city.
