About each permit
Private Property Vending Permit (Food)
Applies to a food truck or other vendor operating on private property, such as a private parking lot. City Code Sec. 30-1481(a) bars vending on private property without an initial vending permit, and Sec. 30-1471 makes mobile food units on private property comply with this article. Fees are from Sec. 30-1483(b) ('A nonrefundable application fee of $50.00') and Sec. 30-1486 (food permit $75.00, merchandise $75.00, combination $125.00, assistant vendors $15.00, replacement photo ID $30.00; renewal fees equal new-permit fees). The Atlanta Police Department's private-property vending page lists the same figures plus 'Fingerprint: $20.00'. The application is reviewed by the Office of Buildings for zoning and needs the property owner's permission letter (Secs. 30-1483, 30-1484). The City's vending program page says a Special Administrative Permit may be required from the Office of Zoning, and county health approval is required before applying.
Alcoholic Beverage License — Consumption on Premises
License fees are from the City Code, Sec. 10-60(a) as amended by Ord. 2024-44 (10-21-24): retail dealer in wine or in beer for consumption on or off the premises $2,500 each; consumption on the premises of distilled spirits, wine and malt beverages $5,000 initial license and $5,000 for each additional facility license (restaurant patios immediately adjacent to the restaurant are exempt from the additional facility fee). Sec. 10-61: a new license granted after June 30 pays 50% of the annual fee. Sec. 30-28 Schedules 1 and 2 set the $300 initial and $150 renewal application fees; Sec. 10-32(b) adds a $50 buildings inspection fee and a $50 fire inspection fee. The Atlanta Police Department's alcohol license page lists the same annual fees ('BEER AND WINE CONSUMED $5,000.00', 'BEER CONSUMED $2,500.00', 'WINE CONSUMED $2,500.00'), a $20 fingerprint fee and the $300 filing fee. Applications go through the License Review Board to the Mayor (Sec. 10-46); a Georgia Department of Revenue license is also required.
Alcoholic Beverage License — Package Beer and Wine (Retail)
Under City Code Sec. 10-60(a)(1)d and (2)d (as amended by Ord. 2024-44, 10-21-24), a retail dealer in wine, or in beer, to be consumed off the premises only pays $2,500 a year for each license. The Atlanta Police Department's fee table lists 'BEER PACKAGE $2,500.00', 'WINE PACKAGE $2,500.00' and 'BEER AND WINE PACKAGED $5,000.00'. Sec. 30-28 sets the $300 initial and $150 renewal application fees, Sec. 10-32(b) a $50 buildings and a $50 fire inspection fee, and Sec. 10-61 halves the fee for a new license granted after June 30. A package liquor store holds a separate distilled-spirits license class under Sec. 10-60(a)(3)d, which this record does not price.
Gymnasium / Health Club License
City Code Sec. 30-841 (Ord. 2008-79): every gymnasium, health club, aerobics club or slimnastics club owner/operator must first obtain a license; the application is heard by the License Review Board, which reports to the Mayor. 'Annual/renewal fees for a license under this subsection are $500.00', and no owner/operator pays for more than one such license — a business with several activities takes the more inclusive gymnasium or health club license. Sec. 30-28 Schedule 3 separately lists 'Gym/health spa' and 'Aerobics/slimnastics' at $500.00 as the fee paid on filing an application for a license that needs License Review Board approval. The Atlanta Police Department License and Permits Unit lists gymnasiums and health spas among the licenses it processes and issues.
