11 of the 20 are charged as a range or a formula set by the issuing agency, and 2 have no fee published at all. The ones particular to this business that vary:

Administrative Use Permit for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages: $620 for the Administrative Use Permit for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages, which the schedule states includes the State Beverage License Zoning Verification, plus the schedule's Add-On 1, the $25 Technology Fee.

What does a restaurant need in Pasco County that other businesses do not?

Administrative Use Permit for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages

Land Development Code §402.5.D states that it applies to Alcoholic Beverage Business Establishments in unincorporated Pasco County. The permit may be requested only for property zoned C-1, C-2, C-3 or I-1, MPUD areas designated for those uses, or property where the Board of County Commissioners has specifically allowed alcohol sales. Under §402.5.D.6, an establishment proposing on-premises consumption within 1,000 feet of a pre-K through 12th grade public or private school, a place of religious worship or a County park must first obtain a Waiver of Specific Distance from the Planning Commission, which may grant it on a showing that physical barriers or other factors make the separation unnecessary. Package sales, supermarket sales and off-premises beer sales are exempt as listed in §402.5.D.3, and bottle clubs are prohibited. The $620 fee is in Resolution 24-030, which the Planning and Development Documents and Forms page links as the current Fee Schedule. The state alcoholic beverage license is a separate product of the DBPR Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

Food Service Employee Training and Manager Certification

Florida sets no price for either qualification — training is bought from private providers the Department has approved, so no amount is shown here because the state charges none. Two separate obligations sit behind that. Every food service employee must be trained within 60 days of being hired, and the certification lasts three years. Separately, each licensed establishment must have at least one certified food protection manager, whose certification lasts five years, and where four or more employees are working with food at one time a certified manager must be physically present. Beware one figure that circulates as though it were a card price: the statute lets the Department charge the certifying organisation no more than $5 per certified test. That is what the regulator bills the exam provider, not what a worker pays. Temporary food service vendors and vending machine operators are exempt from the manager requirement.
