About each permit
Food Establishment Permit
Two hundred dollars the first time an establishment opens, under a new owner, or at a new location, then $100 every year after. Six Wyoming jurisdictions run their own delegated local food-licensing programs instead of the state's — Laramie County, Natrona County, Teton County, Sweetwater County, Sublette County and the City of Laramie — each with its own separate fee schedule not reflected in the state figures above.
Food Handler / Manager Certification — Wyoming Food Safety Rule
No fee, because Wyoming's food safety rule does not mandate a food handler card or a certified food protection manager statewide — the person in charge need only demonstrate food safety knowledge, which the rule allows through general compliance, correctly answering an inspector's questions, or voluntarily holding a CFPM credential. Some local jurisdictions impose their own stricter local requirement on top of this state rule; confirm directly with the county or city health department where a specific business operates.
