About each permit
Cosmetology Salon License
A hundred and fifty dollars to open a salon and the same figure to renew every two years, on a cycle shared statewide regardless of when a particular salon first opened. The application asks for proof of liability insurance and a sketch of the premises alongside the fee. Operating without an active license carries a real daily cost — an administrative penalty of $10 for each day, up to $1,000.
Veterinary Facility Permit — Practice Act Licenses Individuals Only (Nebraska)
No fee applies: the Nebraska Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Practice Act licenses individual veterinarians and veterinary technicians, and the act names no facility, premises, hospital or clinic credential. The condition of a practice's premises and equipment is addressed only once, as a disciplinary ground against the individual practitioner's own license, rather than as a separately licensable item with its own fee.
Child Care License
Nebraska's fee is modest across every category and scales mainly with capacity rather than facility type. A Family Child Care Home I, the smallest category, pays a flat $25 for both the initial and every annual license, non-transferable to a different address. A Family Child Care Home II or a full child care centre pays $25 a year where licensed for fewer than thirty children, or $50 a year at thirty or more — so the fee doubles once a facility crosses that single capacity line, regardless of how far past it the licensed number sits.
