About each permit
Business License
An auto repair/body shop operator may not also offer vehicles for sale without a separate automobile dealer's license. The city's own page lists which categories must provide bond/insurance before licensing — Electrical Contractors, Gas Fitters, Mechanical Contractors, and Plumbing Contractors among them — but generic 'Contractors' (new construction/remodeling) is notably not on that list. The ordinance schedule itself confirms the omission: its entry for 'Contractors in construction of new structures or remodeling' (§70-84(43)) states only the gross-receipts-based fee, with no bond or insurance clause attached, unlike numerous other entries in the same schedule (automobile dealers, house movers, pest control operators, and others) that explicitly read 'together with a performance bond.'
