Sign Permit (zoning/Land Development Code review)

This is the Office of Planning's own Land Development Code compliance review, independent of and in addition to the Office of Construction Review's structural sign permit fee recorded separately above.

Zoning Confirmation / Zoning Certification Letter

The Louisville Metro Office of Planning fee schedule (Land Development Code Appendix 11B, in effect July 1, 2025) prices a Zoning Confirmation and a Zoning Certification Letter but does not say whether either is a mandatory prerequisite for a given business type or an optional due-diligence document; contact the Office of Planning for that. Several other requirements listed for Louisville (the Conditional Use Permit for child care, for example) separately depend on a zoning determination.

Conditional Use Permit — Child & Adult Care Center

Required only where the zoning district does not permit a child care center by right — check zoning first. This is on top of, not instead of, Kentucky's state child-care license. The Office of Planning fee schedule (Land Development Code Appendix 11B, in effect July 1, 2025) lists the $0 tier for child care centers with 12 or fewer children and states that Conditional Use pre-applications for child care centers shall not require a fee.
