Zoning Verification Letter
A genuine, standing $83 product from the Planning Division confirming a parcel's zoning classification — unlike Little Rock, where the equivalent check is described as a free phone call to the Zoning Department. Useful, though not always legally mandatory, before signing a lease or opening in an existing commercial space.
Sign Permit
A separate, lower $30 fee applies specifically to a temporary windblown sign rather than a standard permanent sign. A Sign Variance (a request to deviate from the standard sign rules) is a separate $208 filing.
Mobile Vendor (Food Truck) Permit
This is a City permit in addition to, not instead of, the Arkansas Department of Health's food service establishment permit recorded at the state layer. A mobile vendor or a vendor tent/canopy larger than 400 square feet also needs a Fire Marshal inspection. Permits for operating on public property are awarded by an annual lottery to at least a third of applicants; permits on private property are issued for six months instead.
