About each permit
General Business License — Child Care
A child care business operating in the City of Henderson applies to the City for a Henderson business license. The City's Getting Started page for business licensing sets out the steps: register with the Nevada Secretary of State (SilverFlume), with the Nevada Department of Taxation and with the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations, then apply for the Henderson business license. Per that page, a business applying in person for a non-privileged license usually leaves with a 60-day conditional license while inspections are completed, and inspections must be approved within those 60 days. The City license is in addition to the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services child care license, which is recorded at the state layer.
General Business License — Auto Repair Shop

HMC 4.72.090 confirms the license fee is set by the same Gross Revenue Business License Fee Schedule (4.05.010) recorded above and states several of the chapter's operating rules directly: no selling or soliciting within 500 feet of any school or its adjacent park grounds during school hours (and the half hour before and after); no leasing or renting the licensed vehicle to another person for use as a mobile food vendor's vehicle; no entering private property or knocking on doors between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.; and written evidence of Southern Nevada Health District compliance is required before the license issues. A current Southern Nevada Health District mobile food permit and food handler cards (state layer) and the $98-a-year Fire 'Mobile food preparation vehicle' operational permit (Development Services Center Schedule of Fees, Table E) are required on top of this license.
