About each permit

Park Commission Vendor Permit (Vendors at Events on Morris County Park Commission Property)

Article III, Section 8 of the Park Commission's Rules and Regulations states that no person shall sell or offer for sale any object or merchandise in the parks 'except pursuant to a permit issued by the Park Commission'. The Commission's Event Permit Requirements page states that vendors are only permitted on park and facility premises with its approval, that vendors and exhibitors may attend picnics, weddings, rentals and events only when contracted by the permit holder, and that once contracted they must complete the application and receive a permit before arrival; applications take 7 to 14 working days. Listed vendor types include food trucks and trailers, beverage trucks, caterers, merchandise vendors and physical trainers, so this applies to a food truck, a restaurant or coffee shop catering or vending, a retail business selling merchandise, or a trainer working at an event on Park Commission property. The $35.00 figure is the 'Vendor Fee for Athletic/Special/Benefit events $35.00/per vendor/per day' line of the Commission's YEAR 2026 FEE SCHEDULE, adopted February 2, 2026 (Res. 16-26) and amended March 23, 2026 (Res. 35-26), which Res. 35-26 states remains in force until amended. The page states that 'The Morris County Park Commission does not issue health permits'; food vendors contact the local health department for the park or facility. Named-endorsement insurance listing the Park Commission and the County of Morris is required. Contact events@morrisparks.net or (973) 326-7600.
