About each permit
Sales Tax Permit
No fee to register, and unlike almost every other state's sales tax permit, no renewal cycle either — once issued, the permit simply stays valid as long as the business remains active and keeps filing returns. Permits are not transferable: a new owner buying an existing business must apply for a new one rather than inherit the seller's.
