Alcoholic Beverages License — Board of License Commissioners
The Prince George's County Board of License Commissioners, the county's own local liquor board, licenses beer, wine, and liquor sales under Maryland Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis Article, Title 26, a subtitle that 'applies only in Prince George's County' per §26-102. Maryland House Bill 611 (2026 Regular Session, local bill 'PG 317-26'), effective July 1, 2026 and already in force, set the following annual fees, read directly from its enacted text: Class A, B, C, and D beer licenses and Class A, B, and C beer-and-light-wine licenses are each $550 (previously $500, $365, $245, and $500 for the beer classes, and $500, $365, and $245 for the beer-and-light-wine classes); Class A light wine license is $60 (previously $50); Class B-MB/22 license is $1,200 (previously $1,090). Per the Board's own 'Licenses Available' page, 'Pursuant to Section 26-208 of the Annotated Code of Maryland the Board of License Commissioners is prohibited from issuing any license with an off sale privilege. All licenses issued are for on the premises sales only.'
